Website redesign: when you need it, what's included and how it goes

A redesign is a new design and new code for a website you already have. I start with a free audit: what puts clients off and what to change first.

Price and timeline — after a free audit

Why a redesign

"The website was made in 2017, and it looks worse than our competitors'."
→A modern design for your company, based on an analysis of your competitors, to make you stand out among them. If you wish — custom animation.
"I pay for a website builder every month, and I can't change anything."
→I move the website to custom code that needs no monthly payments. If needed, I add an editing panel: you change texts, photos and structure yourself — without a developer or extra fees.
"We updated our brand, but the website stayed old."
→I rebuild the website around the new logo, colours and tone.
"People visit, but there are no enquiries."
→I find where clients get lost — the first screen, the path to the form, trust — and rework exactly that.
"It was made by someone we can no longer reach."
→I rebuild the website from scratch on my own code and leave you the files, the access details and 30 days of support.

What I check in the free audit

All I need is a link to the website. If you share your analytics data, the audit will be more precise.

Through a designer's eyes
The first five secondsIs it clear from the first screen what you offer, to whom, and what to do next.
The path to an enquiryHow many steps to a call or an order, and whether the button is visible on every screen.
TrustAre there real photos, reviews, prices and contact details.
Texts and structureAbout the client's problem or only about yourself; does each service have its own page.
Technically, from the link
On a phoneIs the text readable, do the buttons work, does the layout break.
62%
Loading speedBy Google's standards: a slow website loses clients before the first screen even appears.
Can you be found in GoogleI search for you by name and by services in your city; I check which pages Google knows about.
Can AI see youI ask ChatGPT and Perplexity who they recommend in your field, and whether their bots can read the website.

What's included in a redesign

The website itself
Free auditBefore the agreement: what puts clients off and what to change first. It stays with you, even if we don't go further.
New designFor your company, not from a template.

What works — staysTexts, photos and structure that worked move over to the new website.
So that you get found
Search in Google and AIThe website gets found in Google and shown by AI. I set up Google Search Console.
Migration without losing rankingsI redirect old addresses to the new ones: the website doesn't lose what it has earned in Google.
Visit analyticsGoogle Analytics: how many people visit, where from, whether they reach the form. Cookies banner.
Terms of work
3 rounds of revisions and 30 days of supportRevisions at every stage; the first month after launch is free.
Launch and rightsOn your hosting and domain. The code and the rights are yours.
Separately, on request: admin panel; new texts; a second language; photos and video made with AI.

How the work goes

  1. 01Free audit. You send a link — you get an audit.
  2. 02Agreement. Timeline, price and scope are written down and don't change.
  3. 03Design and development. We approve the design, then I build the website. 3 rounds of revisions.
  4. 04Launch and 30 days of support. On your hosting; old addresses lead to the new ones.

FAQ

A redesign has no "from" price, because the scope varies many times over. One person needs a six-block landing page refreshed, another needs twenty pages moved off a website builder while keeping their Google rankings. I give the exact price and timeline after getting to know the website and the amount of work, before the agreement.

A short document. In it: what puts clients off, what to change first, whether you need a full redesign or a few targeted changes are enough, and a price with a timeline if you decide to go ahead.

No, if the migration is done properly. I redirect old addresses to the new ones and keep the texts and headings that worked. This is included in the redesign.

No. Most often a redesign means exactly that: moving from a website builder to custom code. The website opens faster, doesn't depend on plugins and doesn't charge a monthly fee. The code and the rights become yours.
